Overview

The Display Results Tab holds options regarding where meeting results should be stored and in what form to produce voting screenshots.

Details / Sequence of Events

Results is the sixth tab within Configuration Settings / Meeting Settings. Review the following links if you need to understand more about Configuration Settings or how to access the Main Menu/Meeting Settings:

From the Main Menu select Meeting Settings, then select Results at the top of the screen and the following screen will appear:

The following explains the inputs for each field on the Results tab

Directory Locations

Results Directory

This will be the folder on your PC where the Results will be stored for each meeting. Every meeting you create will automatically have its results (both in text and screenshot/JPG form) stored into a unique folder. This field is not customizable by the user, rather it is pre-set by the system, but is provided for informational purposes.

Print / Save Results

Screenshots of voting sequences can be produced in two ways.

  • Send Vote Results to Printer (check box)

Check this box if you have a printer set up in your meeting room and wish to automatically print the Vote Result screens immediately after each vote. If you choose this option, the system will not save screenshots for later use.

  • Save Image of Public Display Vote Results (check box)

Check this box if you wish to always have Vote Result .jpg images saved to the Results Directory for you to view and use later. IF this box is NOT checked, no vote result screens will be saved for use later for reports, minutes, or other purposes. We recommend leaving this checked as you may have a need, now or in the future, to see or share the print screens of the actual vote result that occurred during the meeting.

You are finished with the Results tab.

If you have completed setting up all the inputs within the 5 Tabs in the Meeting Settings Area, you have now created a unique Configuration File, named what you created when you started the process.

Remember a Configuration File may be used over and over for “meetings of a common group”. Thus, your configuration file for the City Council may be named “City Council Config.omc”.  You will likely load this configuration file for every City Council Meeting, but each Agenda for each separate Council meeting will be a unique / separate Agenda File (i.e., “Council Agenda 2021-12-02.oma”), where we recommend using a date as part of the Agenda File name.
