Overview
The Test menu of the Discussion Manager can be used to test microphone on/off control with your having to start a meeting.
Details / Sequence of Events
Sign-In to the Meeting Manager App. If you need help logging-in OR understanding Groups, Meetings, Configurations; view the following links:
Navigate to the Discussion Manager App menu option. Then select the 4th Tab at the top of the screen named Test and a screen similar to the one below will appear. If you have arranged your Members in the previous Layout Tab, you will see them arranged as-such here.

Mic On Test Button
Use the Mic On button on any device icon to send a microphone ON signal to the device. Confirm that the tested Mic is indeed ON. Use this process to verify that each device is in working order and is controllable via the Discussion Manager.
Mic Off Test Button
Use the Mic Off button on any device icon to send a microphone OFF signal to the device. Confirm that the tested Mic is indeed OFF. Use this process to verify that each device is in working order and is controllable via the Discussion Manager.
You are finished with the Discussion Manager – Test settings
- Proceed to the next tab at the top of the Discussion Manager App setup screen, which is Swagit.
- Use the following link to go-to and view the Swagit Tab options (if Swagit is who you work with for audio visual components). IF you have another provider, please disregard the Swagit tab settings at this time. Please consult your AV Specialist AND OpenMeeting Support with any questions about controlling Mics.
